Effettuare le seguenti operazioni (solo versione a 64 bit Edition di SQL Server 2005 Developer testato su Windows 8 64bit Pro)

1. Estrarre sqlncli.msi / sqlncli_x64.msi da SP3 o SP4. L’ho fatto da SP4
2. Installare SQLNCLI
3. Avviare programma di installazione di SQL Server 2005
4. Durante l’installazione ho ricevuto un errore Il servizio SQL Server non è riuscito a
iniziare. Per ulteriori informazioni, vedere la documentazione in linea di SQL Server gli argomenti,
“Procedura: Visualizzazione di SQL Server 2005 file di log del programma di installazione” e “Avvio di SQL
Server manualmente. ”
5. Non fare clic su annulla ancora. Da un’installazione di SQL Server 2005 SP3
o SP4 SQLSERVR.EXE copia e file SQLOS.DLL e metterli nel vostro
SQL nella cartella di installazione.
6. Fare clic su RIPROVA

Install SQL 2005 Developer on Windows 8

Perform the following steps (Only 64bit version of SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition tested on Windows 8 Pro 64bit)

1. Extract sqlncli.msi / sqlncli_x64.msi from SP3 or SP4. I did it from SP4
2. Install sqlncli
3. Start SQL Server 2005 Setup
4. During setup I recieved an error The SQL Server service failed to
start. For more information, see the SQL Server Books Online topics,
“How to: View SQL Server 2005 Setup Log Files” and “Starting SQL
Server Manually.”
5. Don’t click cancel yet. From an installation of SQL Server 2005 SP3
or SP4 copy SQLSERVR.EXE and SQLOS.DLL files and put them in your
SQL install folder.
6. Click RETRY
